Nurturing the Next Generation of Musicians

The Reno Jazz Orchestra's Lessons Program is a beacon of hope for aspiring young musicians in Northern Nevada. This program was launched in the spring of 2022 to provide top-notch music lessons and small-group instruction to students from low-income families who otherwise wouldn't have access to such opportunities.

Expert Instruction and Personalized Support

The program enlists the expertise of highly qualified instructors who are either experienced music educators or aspiring music education majors. These dedicated individuals work closely with band directors to tailor the lessons to each student's unique needs and goals. Whether it's mastering an instrument, developing music theory skills, or preparing for auditions, the RJO's instructors provide personalized support and guidance.

Nurturing the Next Generation of Musicians

The RJO's Lessons Program is more than just music lessons; it's an investment in the future of music in our community. By providing these opportunities, the RJO empowers young musicians to reach their full potential and pursue their dreams. The program aims to foster a lifelong love of music and create a new generation of talented musicians who will enrich our community for years to come.
